We are proud to announce that we have partnered with Carbon Neutral Britain to measure and offset our carbon footprint to become certified as a Carbon Neutral Buiness!
In total, we offset 236.22 tonnes of CO2E via Carbon Neutral Britain’s certified carbon reduction projects; Woodland Fund and Sea Kelp Recovery Management.
The Woodland Fund projects support reforestation and woodland management with a strong focus on having a positive impact on the local wildlife, ecology and biodiversity.
Around the coasts of the UK, Sea Kelp Forests are one of the most extensive and productive ecosystems, supporting greater species biodiversity than many coral reefs. Globally, Sea Kelp has a significant part to play in mitigating climate change, with an estimated 5 million tonnes of carbon being captured each year. By offsetting our emissions via the Sea Kelp Recovery Management project, we are helping to protect and manage kelp forests in the Solent and Sussex.
Although we’re proud to have taken climate action, our environmental journey doesn’t stop here! Thanks to Carbon Neutral Britain, we now have a Carbon Reduction Plan that will enable our organisation to reduce our future emissions.
