Last week, ‘The Drylining Dynamos’ swapped site boots for sacks as they took part in Kier Construction’s Old School Sports Day – all in support of Action for Children.
Armed with very serious team talks, questionable tactics, and a bold belief that the beanbag relay was ours to loose…we gave it everything in the sack race, egg and spoon, and the ever-humbling bouncy hopper race.
Did we bring home the gold? No.
Did we bring enthusiasm, competitive spirit, and a slightly over-analysed strategy for the three legged race? Absolutley!
We’re incredibly proud that we were able to donate £1,000 to such a fantastic cause, with the event raising an amazing £10,000 in total for Action for Children. Huge credit to Julie Steward, Dan Doherty and everyone else involved for organising such a brilliant day!
And a big well done to our team – Nathan Kerry, Andrew Graham, Angela Sabin, Elliott Hughes, Finlay Kerry and Preston Kerry for representing Ace Partitions and Ceilings Ltd. They may not have finished first, second, third….or even fourth, but they definately made us proud! And it’s the taking part that really counts…right?!
